This is IT folks.
The day we've all been waiting for. I certainly haven't made many friends, politically, this election cycle. In the past two weeks as I've been blogging and online campaigning in the slim hopes that the American public will wake up and take back their Republic from the two party corporate duopoly, I have been banned from 32 chatrooms, discussion groups, and blogs both on the right and the left. It would appear that the only thing the kool-aid drinkers on both sides of the aisle despise more than each other, are critical thinkers like me. Very sad, indeed.
No one seems to care about the 700 billion stolen, right out from under their noses. I don't have any children, so why do I care so much for the bill being handed down to the children of my fellow compatriots when they seem to care not?
I don't have any answers. Only questions, these days. The more that I know the less I seem to understand.I made a bet in September with my next door neighbor, Ben, an Obama supporter. Although he is a liberal, he bet me that McCain was gonna win. Being the Ron Paul Libertarian that I am, I had no trouble betting on the fact that Obama would win.
This is for very simple reasons. Obama voters are the best hope for the future, however, the war being waged on the minds of americans has taken it's toll. Obama voters actually BELIEVE that their vote is a vote of protest. They actually BELIEVE that the candidate who has recieved more campaign contributions from JP Morgan than any other candidate in history is going to give them CHANGE THEY CAN BELIEVE IN. It would seem that no one questions their own beliefs anymore, or bothers to study the issues. Critical thinking requires that you constantly challenge your own beliefs in what is right and wrong, in what is good and bad. If this had happened then maybe (just maybe) the Obama-tons would have noticed that JP Morgan was GIVEN a large portion of the bailout money that their tax dollars will pay for. And so the cycle of theft from the masses continues, and facism on the right pulls to facism on the left, and the sheeple march merrily on to the slaughter house singing happily of revolution and rebellion...
I think I'm gonna use Ben's money to get drunk, and raise a glass to the Republic that I loved so much.
Goodbye, U.S.A.
We hardly knew ya...

Here are a few good links if you want to get started in discovering TRUTH, and TAKING ACTION. Remember, though, always fact check with at least three solid sources. These links are the beginning of wisdom, NOT the end...

An Appeal To All Americans...
My fellow countrymen and women, I am afraid that it is way past midnight for the war that is raging right now.
It is not the war in Iraq, of which I speak. Nor the fictional "war on terror." It isn't the war on drugs, or poverty, or any other societal ill that both sides of the political spectrum uses to whip up support and subsequent donations to further their narrow minded views on the governance of it's citizens.
It is a war that has been waged for a very long time right under our very noses. It is being waged by a few elite groups of people and organisations who's strength lies in their ability to remain out of the media eye, and away from public scrutiny. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go, but this elite and powerful faction always remains.
Their enemy is simple. It is CRITICAL THINKING.
By CRITICAL THINKING, I am not merely speaking on political terms, although that is their main concern. For decades now, we have been programmed to care less and less about what we as individuals really "like or dislike." Also we are being herded down increasingly narrow and meaningless avenues of thought on the judgements of "right and wrong", as well as where the problems in our society are coming from. People like Rush Limbaugh and Micheal Moore are treated as real political thinkers, when (at best) they are merely entertainers. The downhill slide in our cultural heritage of great art, music, and literature is the most disturbing evidence of the damage that has been inflicted on our collective psyche.
I am starting this blog in attempt to push back at the powers that be, and get as many as I can to regain their God given right (and indeed, OBLIGATION) to be CRITICAL THINKERS. It is our last and best chance to save our dying constitution.
Our founding fathers knew that the best chance to protect the rights of the individual citizens of their new Republic was to separate the ruling powers, AND to have healthy and functioning political parties that represented both traditional/constitutional and progressive/liberal agendas. That way, they would both be able to move forward with the governance of society and challenge each other when the needs arise. This would ensure that the rule of law would both move with the times, but also be kept in check by traditional constitutional values and rights.
Today, both the conservative and liberal parties in America are (for all intents and purposes) dead. If we had our political parties healthy and functioning, then we would instead be voting for Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich on November 4th, not the two card board cut-outs we are faced with. The Republicans have sold their soul to a religious political base that have forgotten that it is the conservative mandate to keep power out of Federal hands and in the hands of local and state Governments. That would allow them better ways to get any religious mandates passed in the areas that they live in, while not infringing on others. The Democrats have sold out to corporate interests and were the ones to deregulate the mortgage industry causing the economic collapse that we now face.
It is, of course, our fault. For we have lost our ability to THINK CRITICALLY. To question the very political views that we ourselves have developed, and think and rethink them again and again when presented with new facts. Changing our minds on a political issue is a painful thing to do, but it is a responsible and necessary tool in order to be engaged and effective citizens.
Americans, it is not only our right to protest the government, but given how many of our forefathers died and sacrificed to leave us this Republic, we are indeed COMPELLED to. Farmers, construction workers, teachers, waitresses, lawyers, and the unemployed, YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU. Get involved, do your own research, get online or go to libraries and learn the facts. Email and phone your congressmen, harass them if you must - YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU. The Republic which we have all taken for granted is VERY close to dying forever. Democrats, Republicans, Moderates, Socialists, Greens, and Libertarians stop bickering over ideology - YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU.
PLEASE, PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
It is way past midnight...
